Belmond recently upgraded one of their train carriages for the Venice-Simplon Orient Express and wanted to create a film to capture the craftsmanship that went into the making of it.
This piece required three film shoots: one with the artisans creating the wood panels using traditional techniques, a second a few weeks later to see the panels fitted into the carriage, and a final shoot to capture the completed carriage.
The carriage will be launched a a press event, at which time the film will be made public.
I produced this film to a two week end-to-end prod timeline (including a 4 day pre-prod timeline!) with a limited budget of £8k, working with sourced French Director/ DOP.
